Hi, I'm Susie.
I'm Susie, but my friends call me Suse. So should you, seeing as how you made it all the way here! Let me tell you a little about me...
​
I graduated from the Southeast Center for Photographic Studies in Florida in 1993, back in the days of film and darkrooms. My parents were concerned I'd be a starving artist for the rest of my life.
I was pleased to prove them wrong when I landed a position at a photo agency that took me from Florida to Montreal on to Paris, where I lived and worked for 7 years. I spent a few more years in Los Angeles and eventually made my way to Austin. After more than a decade away from photography, I bought a digital camera and rediscovered my love of the medium. As a fine artist who loves people, I began offering portrait sessions that combine art and portraiture and general good mojo.
It's my great pleasure to direct a personalized creative vision for each of my portrait clients. We're all just real people - not models. You don't need to know how to pose. Don't worry about feeling awkward - I'll direct you and I promise you'll feel like a rock star while having FUN!

My goal with each session is to create artistic and tailored portraits that my clients can be proud of and excited about From location scouting and outfit selection to mood and posing, I'm with you all the way to create portraits that are a work of art you'll be proud to share with the world.

WHAT IS PERSONAL BRANDING AND DO I NEED IT?
Your personal brand is how you present yourself to the world - in essence, it's what makes you unique
from everybody else on the planet. If you have a website, a freelance business, a corporate page, or if you're a performer or musician, you need imagery that gives your clients or audience an accurate picture of your personality, your reputation, your music and/or personal style. We'll schedule a consultation before your shoot to discuss ideas, locations, clothing, and other preparations. Don't worry if you don't know what you want! It's my job to create a vision for your shoot. I will send you an inspiration gallery before the shoot day to make sure we agree on what you'll bring, wear, and how you'll pose. Then, I'll make the shoot fun and

We'll nail down vibe, styling, outfits and poses beforehand. You'll receive a gallery of 30+ fully edited images to print, publish, and share.

We'll talk about how you'll be using the images to make sure we include all the poses you need for album art, social sharing, and general marketing pieces. We'll find a location with varied background options and shoot for 2 hours in a variety of poses you can use all over for self-promo!
